Dwight J. Friesen the Inhabit Conference resident facilitator speaking on perfection.
All too often, we get this " be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect " to be nothing more than a pious act of self-righteousness. Do we even comprehend how Jesus was the perfect reflection of the Father. Perfection, looks nothing like self-righteousness...it's messy, radical, scandalous. It's God turning " our " little worlds upside down...to see his. It's the last being first. Forgiveness in the realm of infinity. It is redemptive imagination that blows the mind of humanity. To be consumed by Jesus, where he takes up residence, to where we say, " take over...live your life through me." It's then we start to scratch the surface of perfection. It is getting past my mere belief...to where I follow. It's there, Im led to finding perfection.
