It has been a crazy couple of weeks. Since mid-November we have had 9 power outages due to ferocious wind storms...three in the last week. On top of that we're doing some renos in the house. Little over a week till Christmas, the house is a mess...not a decoration anywhere. Colleen flies home on the 21st to spend Christmas with her Dad who has cancer. Friends have said, " are you crazy...what atime to do renovations." We've waited 7 months for this guy, I didn't want to wait another 7. Oh, yah...working nights and trying to sleep through saws, nail guns, air compressors, hammers...ear plugs are not working. I have my parents, and my sister with her two children comming over for Christmas dinner, so my oldest Megan and I will attempt to create a feast.
I hope this doesn't sound like complaining...its just been a very unusual advent/ christmas so far. I do apologize for the lack of blogging, my constant state of sleep deprivation have caused the firing of the neurons in my brain to work like dirty spark plugs. My sputtering thoughts amount to nothing.
Ron,
You know I feel for you! I'm so glad to be (almost) on the other side. The resettling into your territory takes awhile too, even after the work is done, and no sense decorating when you're in the middle of a mess. I hope you're happy with the results. BTW, I can't even imagine trying to sleep with a crew in the house.

I hope that with the New Year looming, things are getting better? I'd hate to be without power where you live. And yes, I do miss you!
Best wishes for the New Year! (And prayers that all will be well.)
